Stewardship

Dear Lord,
Strengthen me with Your grace.
Empower me with Your love.
Bless my hands to help others,
and my heart to radiate Your love.
Let me experience a part of Your love
in the hearts of those I meet each day.
Fortify me with Your goodness and mercy
as I strive to do Your Divine Will.
Draw me closer to You, O Lord,
so that I may serve God more completely
through the strength I find in You.
Amen.

How we spend our time is perhaps the clearest indication of our progress in a life of following Jesus.
Consider: How much time do I set aside for prayer each day? How much time do we as a family set aside for prayer each day?
Resolutions may include attending Mass once a week, arriving for Mass on time, praying at home once a day, or offering grace before a meal, reading a chapter of the New Testament each day, etc.
Consider: How do I spend my spare time? Is the activity uplifting? How does my family spend its spare time?
Resolutions may include scheduling family time once a week, watching and discussing TV programs and movies that are uplifting or have a moral, reading spiritual books, etc.
Consider: How do I spend my time at work giving 8 hours work for 8 hours pay?
Resolutions may include curtailing surfing the web on company time, not hanging around the "water cooler" gossiping or discussing the latest trash reality show, etc.

• 1/3 in prayer and faith sharing

• 1/3 in study-reading & discussing "Forming Generous Hearts-Stewardship Planning for Lifelong Faith Formation" by Leisa Anslinger & Victoria Shepp

• 1/3 on administrative and organizational issues. - Currently we are updating our Goals and Objectives in advance of starting the process of forming a Stewardship Committee
