Youth Ministry - Confirmation

at St. Joan of Arc is for juniors and seniors in high school who have completed the prerequisites, generally during their Freshman and Sophomore years, and who are willing to celebrate their commitment to their faith in the presence of our community. Every year St. Joan of Arc Parish provides preparation and formation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. In order that each candidate for Confirmation has a foundation of faith experiences within the Christian community, we ask that candidates take time to complete the following programs within youth ministry before entering into Confirmation preparation.

Prerequisites include: * 20 LIGHT Nights (held every Monday) * 20 hours of Community Service * 1 Parish Weekend Retreat Students will start the Confirmation program the Fall of their 11th grade year. The yearly fee for LIGHT is $100. For students in the Confirmation program, there is an additional fee of $100.	Preparation includes: Attending Small Group sessions Confirmation weekend *Rite of Entrance Mass followed by candidate & sponsor half day meeting.

"LIGHT" Nights Living In God's House Together Every Monday .(Usually October through May) Place: St. Joan's in the Multipurpose Room Time: 7:00 to 9:00 PM	We have some exciting changes in store for LIGHT this year, the most important being that LIGHT NIGHTS are now EVERY MONDAY! Instead of just once a month, we now invite teens to come to LIGHT every Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose room. Sometimes we will meet in large groups, sometimes in small groups, but we want to provide a consistent experience of friendship, fun and faith for our high school youth.
