Our prayer is to bring more support and comfort to those in need, to fortify our relationship with God and to build community.

Thus, this ministry requires readers with a speaking style that is audible and clear as a first means of transmitting the word of God properly to the congregation. In taking communion to the sick and homebound the Minister represents Christ and manifests faith, love and hope on behalf of the whole community of St. Joan of Arc toward those who cannot be present at the Celebration of the Eucharist. Most of the time Ministers visit the homebound on a weekly basis at the convenience of both recipient and the Minister; the visit itself can be brief or extending, depending on the need and available time.
