Early Timers

The Early Timers is a social group for members of the parish who are 55 years old and over. Its main purpose is to meet and enjoy fellowship with other members and to share a potluck dinner.  We meet the second Friday of the month in the Multipurpose Room from 5:30 to 8:00 PM

eSCRIP

eSCRIP is a program whereby a person registers through the office and designates various merchants where purchases are made. Those merchants then contribute a percentage of your purchase back to St. Joan’s. It’s a wonderful way to contribute to the Parish.

Greeters

Greeters welcome people coming to Mass. We need greeters at each of the four entrances of the church. All you have to do is come to Mass 15 minutes early, put on your nametag and greet the parishioners and give them a song sheet.

Habitat for Humanity

St. Joan of Arc’s branch of Habitat for Humanity, a national organization, is for adults and teens over 16 years of age to assist in building homes to be sold to hardworking, low income families.

No experience or special skills are needed, traning is on site. All you need is a positive outlook, a willingness to work hard and a desire to help the less fortunate. A typical workday runs from 8:30a.m. to 3:30p.m. and is usually one Saturday per month.

Together with hundreds of other community volunteers, we will be framing 10 new homes in four days, helping 10 families achieve the dream of home ownership. We are committed to raise at least $500 in pledges to help fund building materials for the homes. We hope our efforts will raise $150,000 in donations to support the building program.

Helping Hands

This ministry provides a loving assistance to parishioners who are planning a celebration of life for a loved one.

If desired, we will provide assistance with the reception held in the multipurpose room. We will help with set up, greet guests, help with refreshment decisions, and supply all paper goods, coffee, punch and cookies, if requested.  Our goal is to be supportive to our parish family in a most difficult time.
When this service is needed, which can be once a week, or maybe only once a month or less, the time commitment is 5 hours per reception.
