The Religious Education Office will be CLOSED Memorial Day, Monday, May 31st.

RE Registration

Registration Forms and letters went out in them mail on Friday for

  • Little Saints
  • Kindergarten through Grade 5
  • BLAST
  • Whole Community Catechesis.
    Please check your mail boxes for a letter from the St. Joan of Arc Religious Education Office. The sooner you return the form to the RE Office the better your chances of getting a time and catechist of your choice.

If you do not receive a form, please call the office or come in and we will be sure that you signed up.

Tiny Treasures Play Group

Parents and children meet Thursdays 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in Classroom 2 & 3 (unless otherwise noted)

Faith Formation________________________________
PreSchool through 6th Grade
Classes are for families registered in the parish and are taught by volunteers October through April.

 

Preschoolers

Little Angels Age - walking to 3 years
This is a cooperative organization therefore you will need to help in the classroom occasionally.

Meet in Classroom 2
Child care during
Sunday Mass at 9:00 or 10:30 AM .
Cost is $1 per time.

Little Saints Ages - 3 1/2 to 5 years
Registration is required. Parent participation is necessary.
Meet in Classroom 3 & 4
Saturday for the 5:30 PM Mass or Sunday for the 9:00 or 10:30 AM
The curriculum includes Bible stories (following the scripture readings being read at Mass that day), craft activities, prayer time, singing, and action rhymes.

Kindergarten
Grade 1 to 6
Registration in May
Classes meet Monday through Thursday either at the Parish Center or in the home of the catechist. Classes usually meet for one hour. Sessions begin at 3:30 PM.
First Reconciliation
Sacrament preparation classes begin in the Fall. The ceremony is held in February.
First Communion
This program begins in February/March. The ceremonies are on the first and second Saturday of May.
BLAST
A program designed especially for sixth graders.
CIC
Christian Initiation of Children
This is a special program for young people ages 9 to 17 who have not received the sacrament of Baptism, Eucharist, or Reconciliation. The classes meet one Sunday a month for an hour and a half from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The candidates need to attend 10:30 Mass. You must be registered with the Religious Education Office. These sessions run from October through April. The reception of the sacraments takes place in late April.
Vacation Bible School

For Children Kindergarten to Grade 6
This program is a week of fun while learning Scripture. The children enjoyed lively songs, skits, crafts, games, Bible stories and snacks. Junior high and high school students assisted as counselors for the program. Generally VBS takes place the last week in June.

Whole Community Catechesis

As an alternative or in addition to weekly Faith Formation classes, we offer a program for the whole parish community. Catechesis is not just for children. It's for everyone. Learning to follow Christ.

This group meets monthly on scheduled Sundays from September through May.
