Baptism
We call people to follow Jesus and invite them into our community.

You should start preparing for your child's baptism about two months before the desired month of Baptism. These are the steps that you should follow:
Step 1. Attend an interview with the pastor or deacon.
You may contact the parish office (925) 830-0600 to schedule this appointment. Both parents attend the interview where you will learn the specifics of Baptism celebrated at St. Joan of Arc. During the interview you will fill out a Baptism information sheet. The Baptism fee of $50.00 will be collected at this time.
Step 2. Participate in the Infant Rite of Enrollment.
This celebration is held on the first weekend of the month in which your child is welcomed into the larger parish community.
After you attend the Rite of Enrollment, please contact the parish office to schedule a Pre-Baptism class and your child's Baptism date.
Step 3. Attend a Pre Baptismal session.
This is a community building session in which a team couple come together with the parents for prayer and discussion centered around topics relating to Baptism and the Christian Community.
Step 4. Celebration of Baptism
St. Joan of Arc celebrates the Sacrament of Baptism at either a Saturday/Sunday Mass or at a 1:30 p.m. Sunday communal celebration.

Confirmation
Confirmation seals our Baptism and confirms our commitment to a Christian life.

Preparation for teens:
